The California Garden
Friends of the Garden - Volunteers
Volunteers are the backbone of The Garden.  Those volunteering a
given number of hours for at least one year prior to opening, and
continuing their volunteer time through the first two years of The
Garden’s operation, will be considered founding volunteers and will
receive special benefits as such:  Volunteers contributing a set
number of hours will receive discounts on merchandise and tickets,
to certain events.  
We will be soliciting volunteers later in 2010.  If you are interested
in volunteering please print and complete the application provided
and mail it to California Garden Volunteers, 3837 Pasadena,
Sacramento, CA  95821.
Getting Involved
Membership
Memberships in the garden will be offered at rates comparable with other
botanical gardens and will include appropriate benefits such as member’s only
events, discount prices on merchandise and tickets, free days, discounts at
other gardens and venues, etc.
Membership enrollment will begin in 2010, prior to the actual opening of The
Garden.  Those enrolling at least one year prior to opening and continuing their
enrollment through the first two years of The Garden’s operation will be
considered Founding Members and will receive special benefits as such.
Friends of the Garden - Gifts
Those who contribute to The Garden in the form of donations, either
monetary or in kind will be considered Friends of the Garden.
Friends of the Garden will include a Founders Group with varying levels of
acknowledgement for those who donate prior to opening of The Garden.
If you are interested in investing in The California Garden you may send a
donation made payable to California Central Valley Horticulture Foundation,
at 3837 Pasadena, Sacramento, CA 95821.  We are a non profit 501(c) (3)
corporation and will provide you with the proper documentation for tax

Our Promise to You
To ensure that all supporters and potential supporters have full confidence in The Foundation and the vision
for The California Garden, they will have specific rights.  Rights such as, but not limited to, include:
information regarding our mission, our board and our financial status, and assurance gifts will be used as
intended.  All interactions will be handled professionally, without prejudice, and with respect, and
confidentiality, as the law allows.  Appropriate acknowledgement and recognition will be given, and we will
not share or sell mailing lists containing their names.
